You cannot outperform your self image
Your self-image—how you see yourself—creates an invisible boundary around your performance. You might temporarily exceed your self-image through unusual effort or circumstances, but you'll always return to levels consistent with your self-image. This is why people who suddenly acquire wealth often lose it—their self-image is still rooted in lack, and they unconsciously recreate familiar financial patterns. The same principle applies to weight loss. Many people regain weight because their self-image has not shifted, and they return to what feels normal to them.
